BU鈥檚 vision is to create a modern, state-of-the-art university with world聽class academic buildings and outstanding facilities for students, staff and the community. To do this, we're investing around 拢250 million in聽a 40-year Estate Development Framework.
The next stage in this exciting and ambitious development aims to create two new buildings that will聽provide聽striking gateways to our Bournemouth and Poole campuses.

The Poole Gateway Building and the Bournemouth Gateway Building developments will deliver high-quality academic space in two new, purpose-built developments at the Talbot and Lansdowne campuses respectively. You can find out more about these proposals on the .
Consultation: Tell us what you think
BU is consulting on its plans to deliver these buildings, together with associated transport infrastructure at Talbot and student accommodation at Lansdowne. The consultation process will last for four weeks, starting on Monday 25 January and closing on Friday 19 February.
Two public exhibitions will be held on Monday 8 and Wednesday 10 February. At the you will be able to view our proposals, ask any questions you may have and leave your feedback on the forms provided. The exhibitions are open to students from 11am to 3pm.
BU鈥檚 Estate Development Framework so far
These developments follow on from the success of our most recent buildings. In spring last year we delivered a fantastic new Student Centre on the Talbot Campus - our most innovative and inspiring building to date. The building offers a creative range of social and collaborative learning space, catering facilities and access points for student services and has been incredibly popular with students and staff alike.
At the Lansdowne Campus, the 成人直播 International College opened to much acclaim. Providing a vibrant teaching and accommodation environment, it has 16 floors and includes world-class teaching facilities and a variety of flexible spaces designed to support students鈥� learning outside of the classroom.
And later this year we will open our much anticipated new academic building 鈥� known as The Fusion Building 鈥� developed at the heart of the Talbot Campus. Offering nearly 6,000m2 of academic space, it will house 28 seminar rooms, three lecture theatres, research space, roof-top terraces and catering facilities.
