BU media production courses gain International Moving Image Society (IMIS) accreditation

The accreditation is given in聽recognition of industry-standard teaching, appropriateness of content, resources and delivery in the context of the employability of graduates in responsible positions within the moving image industries.
The IMIS is a long established and respected professional body, uniquely placed to assure, encourage and support industry relevance in media production courses.
IMIS accreditation also includes links to the moving image industries;聽students will be able to attend events for free and network with other 'new entrants'聽to the industry, from courses of an equivalent standard, in person, rather than just online.
The Head of BU鈥檚 Media Production Department, Ashley Woodfall, said: 鈥淲e are very proud that our world-leading production courses have been fully accredited by the International Moving Image Society, an organisation that represents the media industries in the UK and globally. IMIS really understand the value of bringing together the voice of industry with those educating the next generation of media professionals.鈥�

Following a review process, BU has聽decided to take our accreditation in a different direction with IMIS 鈥搕his change in accreditation partners ensures BU's courses go from strength to strength and remain highly industry-focused.
BU continues to have a relationship with ScreenSkills, and the university's聽animation courses continue to be accredited by them.
