Wednesday 16 October isÌý#Restart a Heart Day. ThisÌýis part of an internationalÌýcampaignÌýto raise awareness of cardiac arrest and teach people how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). BU is taking partÌýinÌýthisÌýinitiative organising our very ownÌý#Restart a Heart DayÌý±ð±¹±ð²Ô³Ù.
The event will take place onÌýWednesdayÌý16 October from 10am-3pmÌýon ourÌýTalbot Campus, in the courtyard area outside the Student CentreÌý(weather permitting).
We will haveÌýpractitioners, paramedic students and first aiders demonstrating/teaching basic life support skills toÌýBU students,ÌýmembersÌýof staff and visitors. We will also have CPRÌývideos,ÌýVR gadgets with cardiac arrest themed activities,Ìýour new range of manikinsÌýforÌýpractising your skills along with defibrillators and monitors providing real-time feedback.
This is open to the whole BUÌýcommunity as we would likeÌýas many people as possible to learn this life saving skill. It only takes five minutes and you may be able to save a life.
