Wednesday 16 October is听#Restart a Heart Day. This听is part of an international听campaign听to raise awareness of cardiac arrest and teach people how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). BU is taking part听in听this听initiative organising our very own听#Restart a Heart Day听别惫别苍迟.
The event will take place on听Wednesday听16 October from 10am-3pm听on our听Talbot Campus, in the courtyard area outside the Student Centre听(weather permitting).
We will have听practitioners, paramedic students and first aiders demonstrating/teaching basic life support skills to听BU students,听members听of staff and visitors. We will also have CPR听videos,听VR gadgets with cardiac arrest themed activities,听our new range of manikins听for听practising your skills along with defibrillators and monitors providing real-time feedback.
This is open to the whole BU听community as we would like听as many people as possible to learn this life saving skill. It only takes five minutes and you may be able to save a life.
