The UK government has confirmed that funding will be available to students on eligible nursing, midwifery and allied health courses from September 2020.
The funding 鈥 a payment of at least 拢5,000 per year that will not need to be paid back 鈥 will be available for new and continuing students on eligible health courses.
A previous funding scheme offered to students was removed in 2017, with the new announcement returning important funds to students working towards careers that will help to support the NHS.
