All Talbot Campus road users should be aware that from 7.30am on Monday 2 March the Council will commence resurfacing work in the section of Gillett Road which runs between Talbot House and the Student Village. This will close the road.
No vehicles will be permitted to access this part of the road until the work is complete. This closure is scheduled to be in place for two weeks subject to favourable weather conditions. A diversion route will be in place and signage should be observed by all road users during this time:

Temporary access arrangements
During the works, a number of car parks will not be accessible using the normal entry points, including the Student Village car parks. To ensure continued operation of these car parks, temporary access routes will be established as outlined .
On street parking restrictions
Please do not park your vehicle in the . Any vehicles left obstructing the works risk receiving a Fixed Penalty Notice and having their vehicle removed from site.
Access to the Student Village car park
There will be a temporary route to the main Student Village permit holder car park for permit holder parking only. This will be via the current Hire Vehicle car park using a pre-existing road, highlighted below.
Due to the single width of the road layout ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ will operate this area as a long stay car park only (min 4 hours) with no entry after 12pm each day. Car park users should follow internal direction signage and observe the strict 5 mph speed limit.
´¡ÌýÂ will be provided to the small Student Village car park for blue badge permit holders only. A temporary surface will be created from the BU internal access road from Fern Barrow mini-roundabout to allow entry and exit.
UNIBUS services
During the works, the UNIBUS services will continue to run on the regular timetable. The U1, U3 and U4 services will utilise Wallisdown Road to access the Bus Hub with the U2 continuing its normal route from Poole.
Advanced warning relating to Wallisdown Road and Boundary Roundabout roadworks
BCP Council are scheduled to start a project to resurface a section of Wallisdowne Road on 6 April 2020 for two weeks and a , commencing 30 March 2020 for an estimated 12 months. Both projects have been planned to overlap. More extensive communications around the impacts of these works will be provided shortly.
