Library and Learning Support continue to offer their services online聽and have developed new resources to support your study聽during the lockdown period.
Study Skills Workshops
The Library聽is running聽some online聽workshops aimed at聽supporting you as you聽study聽remotely and聽undertake聽new forms of assessment and exams.听
Sessions this and next week聽include聽Revision and Exam Preparation, Time Management and the聽use of聽EndNote Web.
You can sign up聽via the聽聽and we will then contact you by聽email聽with聽details of how to join聽the session online.
These workshops聽are in addition to the existing聽online toolkit of resources and recordings available in the聽, which聽you can聽work through at your聽own pace.听
Online Learning Guide
In collaboration with colleagues across the University, the Library team have created a聽.听It includes how to structure study time, guidance on relevant software, tips to improve critical thinking & reflective writing and links to further support you聽might need during this time.听
E-resources
Due to printed materials being inaccessible, many publishers have now opened聽access to聽their聽e-books and e-journals.听Details on what resources聽are now available聽are listed in our聽.听
Please note that聽this is only a聽temporary聽arrangement聽at the聽publishers' discretion. Where聽we have been informed of聽a cut-off date, this聽has been included in the guide.
These resources聽are in addition to BU Library's聽large collection of聽e-journals and e-books that are available to you, as BU students.
Extension to library loans
Library聽items currently聽on loan, that were due back on or later than 3 February 2020, have been extended to Wednesday 23 September 2020. The聽due聽date will be extended聽again for all borrowers, if this becomes necessary.
Inter Library Loan requests (i.e.听for items held in other libraries)聽cannot be processed at this time, as the British Library and others聽have suspended all inter-lending services.
