BU students are being supported through the current international pandemic, thanks to over 拢50,000 of funding from Santander.
The bank has set aside 拢4.5million to support students in the UK at its 85 partner universities, with BU鈥檚 funding aiding in the creation of a BU and Santander Covid-19 Support Fund.
Santander and 成人直播 have been partnered together for a number of years, supporting students with additional support funds to aid in student learning.
Matt Hutnell, Director, Santander Universities, said: 鈥淪antander is committed to supporting higher education as well as local communities across the UK so we鈥檙e pleased that our funding is able to be redirected to where it is most needed at this critical time. Universities are doing some fantastic work to contribute to the UK鈥檚 effort to combat the outbreak of COVID-19, so we鈥檙e delighted to collaborate with our university partners in a way which increases their response effort and look forward to continuing to work with them on supporting both students and the broader higher education community with further initiatives over the coming months.鈥
BU Operations Manager Kerry Noble said: 鈥淲e have an excellent relationship with Santander and are so grateful for their support of our students. Of course, the Covid-19 outbreak has brought challenges for students and this extra funding allows us to ensure access to funding for any student who is experiencing difficulty as a result.鈥
