BU and partners Northeastern University (China) will host a series of virtual workshops to explore research and expertise aligned with BU鈥檚 Strategic Investment Areas (SIAs).
The workshops, which will take place virtually between 2-4 December, and will begin with a series of discussions on advanced materials, with the two organisations working together through the joint Research Centre for Advanced Materials, which was launched in 2019 by the Vice-Chancellors of both universities in Shenyang.
The Research Centre is home to a number of ongoing research collaborations, including the work of a number of PhD students.

To support the development of our joint strategic developments, we have put together a tailored programme of events to increase our engagement and impact across a wide variety of academic areas, including our Strategic investment areas. This represents an exciting opportunity for both NEU and BU.鈥
The workshop series will focus on the Sustainability, Low Carbon Technology and Materials SIA and the Medical Science SIA and will also be a chance for Early Career Researchers to develop important networks with colleagues in China.
There will also be a session on the environment, with several members of BU鈥檚 Life Environmental Sciences department invited to share knowledge and research focussed on climate change and the environment. There will be opportunities to network with those involved and attendees.
The three-day event will also include presentations from researchers and PhD students at both universities as well as hour long sessions that focus on a specific topic and highlight the expertise of both institutions in the area of Advanced Materials, Medical Imaging and Sustainability and Environmental Science聽聽 聽
Dr Alastair Morrison, International Partnership Development Manager at 成人直播 said, 鈥淭he workshop aims to introduce both established but also Early Career Researchers from both institutions so that the current collaboration we have can be expanded on.聽 We would like to widen the collaboration and encourage colleagues from both institutions to work together on research projects, grant applications as well as publications in the longer term.鈥
