We would like to invite you to take part in the Cibyl study, which is one of the largest studies on student mental health. BU is participating in this survey because we want to better understand how we can support you throughout your studies and your transition into working life. Using the information gained, we can look at which students may need the most support, what support systems they find effective and what else we can put in place.
You will also have a chance of winning:ÌýÌý
- a £100 Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats gift card (one given away every week – eight in total to give away!)ÌýÌý
- an Apple or Samsung Smart Watch - you decide! (one given away when the survey closes!)ÌýÌý

Four in five university students (81%) report being directly impacted by mental health difficulties and 68% say that they worry about not being good enough or doing well enough. These figures are from the Student Mental Health Study 2022 byÌý, an independent market research agency specialising in student research projects across the UK and Ireland. They have been researching student mental health since 2019.Ìý
Please take part in the 10-minute Ìýbefore theÌý15 DecemberÌýdeadline.ÌýYou will be asked a few questions about your time at university, your experience with student services and/or your experiences at work. The questions will explore sensitive topics such as loneliness and mental health challenges you may be experiencing.Ìý
Mental health can be a sensitive topic for many, but please be assured that your answers will always be treated confidentially, anonymously and will never be analysed individually. Most questions are not compulsory, and you can stop at any time. BU will not receive any information which could identify an individual student.Ìý
Thank you for taking the time to help us improve the student experience at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥. Ìý
Please remember, if you need any support with your mental health and wellbeing, please see the Health and Wellbeing webpages for more information.Ìý
