Ìýis an FA-accredited club. This accreditation is only awarded to clubs that provide a high-quality football experience, are well-run, sustainable, and place child safeguarding, quality coaching and safety as paramount.

There are currently 25 teams at BSFC, who play across both the Dorset and Hampshire leagues and have enjoyed equal amounts of success over recent years. Training for all teams takes place at Chapel Gate.


The youth section

The club is committed to supporting participation in grassroots football at all levels, with a focus on instilling a love and passion for the game.

The youth section comprises 17 teams from U6 to U16, including a girls’ team at U16. Teams play in the Bournemouth Youth Football League and the Dorset League.Ìý

This section aims to develop football skills in a fun and safe environment, thereby creating successful, disciplined teams. We are keen for our youth players to develop their abilities sufficiently to allow them to succeed in making the transition from youth to adult football.

The women’s section

Bournemouth Sports Ladies FC was formed in May 2013 to provide greater opportunities for women to become involved in football in a supportive and cooperative environment.

The first team plays at Tier 6 of the Women’s Football League (WFL) in the Southern Region Division 1 South. The reserve team play in the Hampshire County Division 2.

Matches are played on Sunday afternoons.ÌýPlayers of all abilities are welcome to join training as the club looks to fulfil its aspirations to reach Tier 5 of the WFL pyramid and to increase female participation in grassroots football.

The men’s section

The men’s section comprises four Saturday teams and one Sunday team.

On Saturdays, the Bournemouth Sports first team plays at Step 7 of the National League System in the Dorset Premier League (DPL). The DPL is the senior county league in Dorset. Three further teams play in the Dorset Football League;ÌýBournemouth Sports Reserves in Division 1, Bournemouth Sports Lions in Division 2 and Bournemouth Sports Phoenix in Division 3.

On Sundays, Bournemouth Sports Mercury plays in the Bournemouth Hayward Sunday League Division 2.

We welcome new players keen to experience competitive football within a positive environment, and coaches, volunteers and sponsors who can help the club develop and progress through our local and regional leagues.

We are particularly open to individuals and organisations interested in introducing veterans’ football and football for people with disabilities.
